Kemangi Restaurant report
On May 3, 2010, we visited Kemangi Restaurant in the duty free shop, Plaza Bali! The restaurant runs based on the concept of “Italian from Bali” and has stylish and casual atmosphere, and many residents like to eat there. Varieties of pasta, crispy pizza, and real sweets that are rare in Bali; HIRO-chan staffs tried tasting all of them!!

The restaurant is in Plaza Bali. There are not only boutiques but also handicrafts and Balinese fancy staffs, so good place for buying souvenir. It’s fun Duty Free shops with massage place and dress-up traditional costume. 
There are 2 restaurants in Plaza Bali. This is Chinese Seafood Restaurant. There are rounding tables, and you can try real Chinese food
Today, we visit another one, Kemangi Restaurant! I must take pictures in front of the restaurant, of course.
The entrance is stylish and fantastic. This is the interior by the Japanese designer.
In the evening, it’s light-up by orange lights and it becomes the adult dining.
The long glass table on the center of restaurant has lots of shells on the bottom!
This time, HIRO-chan & Mami-chan and all 6 staffs joined! We had a long table seats near the stage.
Kemangi Restaurant has varieties of wines. Mami-chan loves red wine and she tries owner’s recommend bottle wine!
This is Italian Deluxe Set that is on our homepage! Main dish is the high-class beef steak, and additionally, choose peperoncino or Kemangi spaghetti. This time, we asked to serve all dishes at one time, but usually it’s served one by one.
3 Appetizers are decorated cute on the plate. Sausage, Pudding, and Fried Squid.
Beef steak with just good fat is one of Kemangi’s recommended dishes. Served with fresh tomato sauce.Introduce A la carte Menu♪

Baked Clam with Garlic is good with appetizer and beer. Share with everybody.
My favorite, Calamari Spaghetti!! Do not hesitate at how it looks. It’s new taste that is different sauce than others! That’s the menu you want to try again next time.
Kemangi means “basil” in Indonesian. It’s the pasta with chopped basil and olive oil. Roasted peanuts on top are the accent of the dish.
Popular for residents!
It’s cold pasta with chopped ume plum and whitebait. It’s plain taste to eat it all in a short time.
Warm mushroom is really good. Maybe, here is the only place that you can eat Japanese style Mushroom Spaghetti? It’s soup spaghetti.
This is the restaurant’s recommended Pizza! It takes a while to be done after ordering, but it’s delicious big portion pizza with crispy thin crust and lots of cheese.Kemangi’s Special Sweets♪

Too sweet, too much sugar… it’s difficult to find delicious sweet in Bali, but Kemangi’s sweets are thumbs up! You can expect same or higher level as the famous cafe in Bali and they are seasonable price. |

I choose Pannacotta from “Today’s Cake” and it’s light sweet taste! Yes, I want something, not just sweet.
Black Forest is neat decoration including the plate. It has bitter chocolate and cream layers. It’s deep taste.
My favorite is this Baked Cheese Cake. It’s thick cheesy spongy with sour raspberry sauce.
This is Mami-chan’s favorite! She says, “It is the most delicious gelatin cheesecake that I tried in Bali! Cheese is rich, but it’s smooth taste on my mouth. It’s not too sweet.”Free Bali Dance Appreciation♪

“Italian Deluxe Set” that is introduced in HIRO-chan’s Recommended Tour and Restaurant homepage has plenty of dishes including Steak for main dish, pasta choice, soup, salad, and sweet. Each dishes doesn’t have big portion, however, it is recommend for who like to try tasting many kinds of dishes!
Moreover, I tried sweets at my first time, and they are all delicious! They have good value of portion and taste more than their price. The owner is Japanese, and he is going to focus sweets, so I can expect more later on. I was shocked about the sticky sweet taste of cake that I tried in one famous bakery in the other day. I decided through this covering, “If I really want to eat cake, I would come to Kemangi Restaurant!”
